1.
 (So that explains it!)
2. Thank goodness there's a name for this disorder! (This is an accurate description of my typical day!!!)
Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder This is how it manifests:
I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.
I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first. But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking. I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. The Coke is getting warm, and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need water. I put the Coke on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table.
I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day: the car isn't washed the bills aren't paid there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter the flowers don't have enough water, there is still only 1 check in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all the day long, and I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail ...
Do me a favor. Forward this message to everyone you know, because I don't remember who in the world I've sent it to. Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!

POLITICS
Raindrops Make Things Beautiful by Sherry'sCherries
Why is it that I keep rolling off these pearls of wisdom and the news anchors and politicians do not listen to me? Well, at least one of the talking heads did. There was a quote on the Sunday morning show "Rev. Wright is for Rev. Wright." ... He is an actor, for God's sake! Well, not for God's sake, for his own sake. He gives a self serving sermon and gets applause and money. We have met the enemy and he is us by sinann

I do OVERHEARD every week
because I hope ... I hope that introducing you to other bloggers will reinforce a sense of community and your feeling of belonging, no matter who you are!
Lately, I have heard a lot of fretting about all the negativity on the Stream. I didn't come here to be negative. I bet most of you didn't either.
If we were all inner tubing down a real Stream, what would you bring with you on a perfectly sunny day?
That's what I'm talking about!!!
Bring it!
Bring your laughter. Bring your smiles.
Bring your life experiences. Bring your wisdom. Heck yeah! I wanna see your pictures!
Of course, you can bring your famous potato salad. They'll go perfect with the burgers! You wanna paint what on your inner tube?!!
Okay! Go ahead, but don't blame me if people look at you funny!
Come as you are!
Be who you be!
This is supposed to be a place where we enjoy a meeting of the minds, a friendly debate once in a while, even jokes and humor ... Remember your sense of humor?
I don't know where you left it ... Look under your socks. What about next to your car keys?
Bring it!

It would be hard not to miss the dark places on the Stream these days.
John the Squabbler said today that, "People will do what they will do."
John's right. I can remember dark times in my own life too. I didn't feel like I was in control of my life. I felt like the brakes weren't working, I was picking up speed and going downhill fast! It was really scary!
But somewhere in the middle of a runaway life and a free fall heart ... it came to me that there just has to be something better. Maybe, you are already thinking that too?
I will not be amazed or confused if I see you standing in the dark. I know that this is just a chance for you to grow ... to transform into the real you.
I wrote this a few years ago ...

Emerging from the shadows
Like a butterfly
Leaving the dark cocoon
to discover a new world
Full of flight and brightly colored flowers
Answered prayers
And
Realized Dreams
Did the butterfly know
That all that time in the dark ...
They were growing wings?
Did you know
That all the time you were in the dark ...
Your spirit was growing wings too?
Life did not end for us
When we were hurt.
That's when our new lives began!
That's where we found
A deeper hope,
A stronger faith,
And a kinder way to lead a more
Compassionate life.
The pretty little butterfly
Has a message for us all ... Don't be afraid of the dark
When the dark comes.
That's the place
Where
Spirits grow wings.

The TRUTH about SEARCH ENGINES
If you could make a huge difference in a blogger's business,
Would you?
It's easy!
Let me explain. One of the way Google Search works is that the more websites (blogs count) that link to a store site, the more it forces the site to the TOP of the search engine.
That means if each of us - some of us - all of us link to Heliotrope ...
We directly increase the number of people who will see Biggie T and Marc's store and the more people that see it ...
The more people that will shop there ...
and they have some GREAT Mother's Day Gift ideas ...
So what do you say?
Let's make their day! Simply copy this post and paste it to your blog. Feel free to shop too!
