It's sheer genius really ...
If you were a foreign country that wanted to beat the United States, what BETTER way than to capitalize on our capitalism and play into our greed?
Just slip a little poison into the goods and services that we buy from you cheap ... weaken our bodies, slow our minds, and pretty soon, while we are too busy consuming to even notice, you are producing everything because you have run all of our businesses OUT of business.
There is no more MADE IN USA!
You are making the money now. You buy up our land. You loan our country money to pay our debts. You finance the politicians who will push your trade agreements through and without ever firing a shot, you take over our world!

AMERICA'S DOCTOR DR. MEHMET OZ:
The Threat of Synthetic Chemicals
Original Air Date: November 8, 2007
According to investigative journalist Randall Fitzgerald, thousands of synthetic chemicals deemed safe by the government, regulatory agencies, manufacturers and even medical science are actually quite hazardous—and we're only beginning to glimpse the potential harmful effects they are having on our health and the environment. Dr. Oz talks with Randall, author of The Hundred-Year Lie: How to Protect Yourself from the Chemicals That Are Destroying Your Health, about his theory and how society can begin to eliminate the threat of toxins.
In 1906, the United States Congress enacted the Pure Food and Drug Act, legislation designed to set standards for the quality and safety of foods and medicines. Randall says this legislation marked the beginning of what he calls the "hundred-year lie" because the regulatory agencies that followed, such as the Food and Drug Administration, failed to adequately monitor what was truly safe. "We have all been guinea pigs in a vast chemical experiment, and based on the statistics—the health statistics—over the past 100 years, we can begin to see a correlation with the onslaught of synthetic chemicals in our lives that we've been impacted by those chemicals in the foods and medicines that we consume," he says.
Randall says as consumers, all we can do is try to limit our exposure by avoiding processed foods, eating as clean a diet as possible and monitoring the chemicals in the vaccines, prescription drugs, vitamins, cosmetics and personal care products that we use. He says the government can play an important role through public education, beginning with requiring manufacturers to follow truth in labeling. Initiating safety standards and legislation where products are constantly evaluated as well as increased social activism could also help reduce the threat posed by synthetic chemicals, he says.
Have you looked at recent labels? For instance, my fabric softener no longer list all the xxx-thanyl and propo-xxx ... all those things we could never pronounce. It now says: fabric softeners and perfumes.
It turns out my Mom and her Mom were right to wear plastic gloves when they cleaned! Mama always does know best!
Another article said that something as simple as having everyone remove their shoes at the door will reduce the amount of toxins and pesticides from the outdoors coming into your homes!

What's Toxic, What's Not
Original Air Date: August 7, 2007
From personal hygiene products to household cleaners, many everyday items contain toxins that could harm your health and the environment. Dr. Oz talks with Gary Ginsberg, co-author of What's Toxic, What's Not, about some of the toxins that he says you should try to avoid.
Whenever you are shopping for personal hygiene products or household cleaners, Gary says you should look for a Green Seal label, which looks like a check mark. Gary says Green Seal is an independent organization that certifies products with high environmental standards. "Whatever it is on, you've known that somebody had taken the extra time to check out the ingredients," he says.
Gary, who is also a senior toxicologist for Connecticut's Department of Public Health, shares insight into some common household products:
- Bottled water vs. tap water: "Often bottled water is city tap water that may be run through an extra filter, which you can do at home for pennies a day and save yourself [money]," he says. "Then you have the plasticizer issue [with bottled water] because plastics do leech into water." Instead of risking the consumption of plasticizers and polluting the environment with empty bottles, Gary says you should use a carbon filter with your tap water and transfer it into portable containers.
- Cleaning products: "You don't need to use a really strong antiseptic bleach product or ammonia product, which is going to off-gas [and release] chlorine into your house, or ammonia, which will volatilize into your air space," Gary says. "Look for non-chlorine cleaners—peroxide-based or bicarbonate-based—and those will whiten and disinfect."
- Personal hygiene products: "Anything with a fragrance will have phthalate that goes with it because [phthalate] is what helps the fragrance stay on your body," Gary says. Phthalates can lower testosterone levels in males, and Gary says that men and pregnant women should use phthalate-free products.
Health and the Environment
Original Air Date: December 12, 2006
Many of us don't realize how many toxins are in the environment around us. In fact, the things we use to make our world cleaner may actually be the things that are poisoning us, says Deirdre Imus, wife of radio personality Don Imus. Dr. Oz talks to Deirdre about the importance of having safe, non-toxic environments for our children and about her efforts to enhance health through environmentally friendly measures.
According to Deirdre, Americans are exposed to more than 82,000 chemicals in our environment, yet the Environmental Protection Agency has reviewed fewer than 2 percent of them for safety. "Knowing that information," Deirdre says, "Why wouldn't we decide to identify, control and ultimately prevent those environmental factors that are making us sick?"
Deirdre says her work began more than 15 years ago when she met her husband, who at the time was raising money for kids with cancer. Since then she has launched countless eco-friendly initiatives, including The Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer, The Deirdre Imus Environmental Center for Pediatric Oncology and the Greening the Cleaning® institutional program, which helps eliminate toxic cleaning agents and replace them with safer, non-toxic alternatives.
Deirdre says that according to the Center for Disease Control, 70 to 80 percent of cancers are linked to environmental exposures to toxins. With that in mind, she says it's critical that individuals take steps to eliminate toxins from their households. To get started, she suggests eating meat substitutes and organic food, using all "green" cleaning products and buying organic cotton clothing.

I have mentioned this musician before ... He has a wonderful voice but his lyrics are poetry that speak to my heart. There is a time that all of us must go down inside ourselves and draw from the well we have been building our whole life through ... the place where all the wisdom of our lifetime is catalogued and stored ... just waiting to be rediscovered by us!
In the middle of that holy place, we find the contents of our soul. We learn what we are really made of. We find strength we never knew.
"Not me!" you say?
I smile.
It's there ... just as sure as gravity and air ... It's there, whether you choose to go there or not ... it's there!
DOWN INSIDE YOURSELF ~ David Wilcox
Somewhere deep in the midwest There's a middle aged man in a midsize car Driving down the middle of the road In the middle of the night He's in the middle of his mid-life crisis And he just decides that he can't go home
So he turns the car around and he drives to the airport He flies to New York City where he makes connections for London Where he makes connections for India Where he gets on a train to go to the mountain To see the wise man You know the one The one with the answer for that hole in his heart
Well anyway, he climbs the mountain And he sees the wise man come out of the village to greet him He's no dummy, he knows he was coming And he musters up all his fear and anguish And he says
Help me shake this nightmare The funk has found my heart I need to move my spirit But I don't know where to start I need to fill this empty But I can't find the missing part I'm just down inside myself
And the wise man says, "ah, I used to think the blues were strong because they're true And when they come to get you, there's nothing you can do But now I think that's nonsense and I've got news for you You're just down inside yourself
There's times when you've been hopeful And times when you were strong Now you say that's foolish Like your happiness was wrong It's like you've never seen the sunshine When a gray sky comes along You're just down inside yourself"
And the middle-aged man, he'd heard some, you know But he had some questions And he was just about to speak When he was interrupted again
"Well never mind the questions now You don't have to be so wise Hey, your problem ain't philosophy So get it down to size Right now it's physiological In a logical disguise You're just down inside yourself
But the blues is not your final judgement It's no deep or evil power Hey the cure is very simple And it works in half an hour Get some sleep, eat some broccoli Run a mile, take a shower You're just down inside yourself You're just down inside yourself
