This was a hard week to find quotes! I think the heat is getting to almost everybody ... and like Gloria (gjwlegs) said ... "she mostly is taking the Summer off" ... I think a lot of people are the same way. There are so many things to do besides blogging. Imagine that! The hardest thing about doing a post like this is I don't want anyone to ever feel left out. So if you (or anyone else) finds a quote or a joke or anything else they would like to share, PM me about it. It will help me do a better job, and Lord knows, I need all the help I can get!

i still have the Newspaper it was published in Taylor...front page of our local once a week paper...i was "discovered' years ago by the editor at the time.She wanted everyday poems....she published a lot of my poems that year..lost contact with her but she sure built up my confidence.Didn't make any money but had lots of fun....had around 12 published that year. it was 1980..and yes it was hot..Around this time of year.

Take the battery out and lay the whole thing out on a towel.
Then use a hair dryier to dry it off ... really ... What do you have to lose? Be sure it is good and dry before you put it back together and it actually might work!

That's good taylor..not just anyone gets published there. you did quite well. bet your a good cook too...what i've had published is not in major mag's...just local small town stuff...a few little tiny mag back in the 80's... oh well, writers are usually dirt poor..starving artists we are called..there's a reason for calling them that ya know... they don't get paid..

Isn't it funny how things go ... I would have thought it was way cooler to write a poem (which takes real work) and have it printed anywhere than to mail in a recipe and have them pick it. Recipes are easy. Poems take TALENT!
I like your poetry! You do find the funniest cat pictures! I liked the kitty and the ladybug too!
I wish there was room for even more. Every time I finish a post, I run into a few more things and think ... Darn! That would have been good too! Oh well ... next week!

Taylor, If poems didn't come to me fast like they do. i wouldn't write them..most take around 5-15 min to write..always did. i don't spend a lot of time on them..Now Lyrics, i used to write in sets back in the 80's - did around 7 a week..but mostly they came to me in a matter of a few hours...people always assume i take a long time to write them. but that isn't true. I was blessed with poetry or cursed, poetry can bug a person..especially if it comes in my head and won't go out untill i write it down..people are amased i can remember around 200 poems off the top of my head. but hey, i wrote them. their in my head.LOL
